Using
GROUP ADD
Select: UTILITIES>GROUP ADD
This option provides a powerful
tool by allowing a convenient, time-saving method for entering a
series of coins. For example, you might possess a nearly complete
collection of one dollar banknotes. If they are of similar condition,
you can use the Group Add feature to enter these banknotes quickly
as a set, rather than singly.
Group Add Provides a Powerful Data Entry Timesaver
After selecting Group Add from the
Utilities menu, verify that you wish to use this option by clicking
Yes. Select a denomination and then enter a beginning and
ending year to define a range of coins to be entered. You are then
prompted to provide information for all of the fields that normally
appear in the Add mode, except for Total Cost and Total Value.
The information entered in Group Add will
appear on the record of every banknote in the selected group. The
Total Value is computed for each banknote based on its condition.
Total Cost can be recorded one of three ways: as Zero, as Face Value,
or equal to the current market value.
After completing your entries, click Save
to create all of the records in that series.
If you need to edit the grade, or any other
information in the group, you can do that individually after creating
the group. For some collectors, this can be a tremendous time-saver.
Take your time and think about the best way to use Group Add. If
it doesn't work out, you can easily start over with the Group Delete
function.
